hCG Diet Lemon Garlic Mahi-Mahi

If you’re on a very restrictive diet like the hCG diet, then you’ve got to be creative when it comes to foods. Most people think that when you’re on such a diet that you cannot let your imagination run wild and stick to dull and boring foods.

Since the hCG diet is a popular diet, a lot of chefs and people who love to cook have already created recipes to help their other hCG dieters get by, especially when you’re on the dreaded phase 2 of the diet.

For the uninformed, phase 2 of the hCG diet is where you will eat heavily calorie-restricted meals (about 500 calories) a day. On top of that, you should also introduce the hCG hormone into your system.

Now, 500 calories may not seem a lot and you’re probably thinking of ditching a good meal because you thought you cannot eat delicious meals while you’re on the hCG diet, but that is just not true.

Today, I am going to share with you a special recipe that is not only delicious but it also packs a lot of nutrition (especially protein). Today, we are going to cook the hCG Diet Lemon Garlic Mahi-Mahi.

Before you get started, here are the ingredients that you need to cook the dish:

  • 1 Mahi -Mahi Fillet (4-6 oz)

  • 3-4 cloves Garlic

  • 1-2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

  • 1 Tablespoon Bragg's Liquid Aminos (This is optional but I highly recommend it if you want the fish to become more flavorful)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350. If you do not have an oven, you can use an oven toaster for this dish.

  2. Get a small baking dish and line it with foil. This is to ensure that the Mahi-Mahi won’t stick to the baking dish.

  3. Mix both the garlic and the lemon juice together and also add in the Bragg’s Liquid Aminos if you’re going to use it.

  4. Pour the mixture over the Mahi-Mahi and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (you can cook it immediately, but I prefer marinating it for at least 30 minutes for better taste).

  5. Bake the Mahi-Mahi for a good 20 minutes or until the fish is a bit flaky when using a fork. Serve and Enjoy!

In just roughly 20 minutes, you get a Mahi-Mahi dish that is perfect even during phase 2 of the hCG diet. Because of the garlic and Lemon marinade, the fish will become more flavorful than ever (if you chose to add the Aminos, it will become even better).

This dish offers a lot of protein (about 15-20g of protein depending on the oz of the fish). I’ve got to say that this dish is really flavorful and you definitely want to try this one out. Aside from the protein content, the fish also contains the Omega-3 Fatty acid that is good for your heart.
